Part of the problem, I think, is that translating Zapffe is so challenging. Not only is his prose poetic, original and often idiosyncratic, it is also archaic at times. I often get the feeling that it would be easier to do it in German. Translating the entire On the Tragic to English would be a daunting task. That said, if you can find me a publisher -- which is probably even harder -- I might be willing to give it a try! Thank you Mr. P.
